ABSTRACT FEST SD: Audio Assault!

There’s not a lot more I can say that I haven’t already said about unbelievably INSANE Abstract Festival will undoubtedly be!!! It all takes place THIS SATURDAY 8pm-4am at San Diego’s own Sports Arena. That’s right, this massive gathering is going down right here in SAN DIEGO.

FUCK. YES.

After the jump, take a good listen to the tracks I’ve dug up for you from allover the blogosphere and from within the depths of my inbox crypt. Clean those ears out and get ready for a twisted non-stop B E N D E R. These tracks below, by those very characters set to make just an absolute scene on the Abstract decks, will help to get your senses stretched out and prepared for the unrelenting aural beating that lies straight ahead.

BOOM!

Major Lazer – Sound of Siren (ft. MIA and Busy Signal)

O yes, reggaeton at its body-swinging finest. Get those shoulders loose and ready to pop n’ lock for this clutch track Major Lazer recently dropped, not too long back.

Major Lazer & La Roux – Bulletproof (Nacey Remix ft. Matt Hemerlein)

OK. Where is it? Don’t try to hide it from me. I know that there MUST be an epic dubstep remix of this re-imagined version of Bulletproof  by Nacey. There HAS to be!?!?!? Well, it’s a killer track as is, but reflip this with some whomp, and WHOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

Rusko feat. Amber Coffman Hold On (Sub Focus Remix)

Build this up and let this drop with serious unrelenting stomp power; o man  I can already hear this reverberating off the walls at the Sports arena. This will actually blow minds to bits — leaving only a debris of vibrating pulps in its path.

Cajmere – Percolater (Claude VonStroke Remix)

OK. So a LOT of “Percolater” remixes have just started surfacing — and then reproducing like rabbits during Spring time. But the Percolater remix by Claude VonStroke seems to be the outstanding favorite, repped by giants like Boys Noize who’s claimed to have opened up his show in Chicago recently with the very same track. The BNR word seems to validate just about anything in my book these days. That said, this is no exception.

BSOD – This is Hook

Admittedly, Steve Duda has been taking some time, and been away from the studio awhile. However, that by no means suggests he will bring anything less than pure merciless terror down on those decks. His legendary performance at Reset Festival last season, along with a whole arsenal of pyrotechnics, was ALL FIRE: unleashing arguably the best set of the entire massive. Low and behold he’s back at Abstract, and from the looks of things, there is no reason for us to believe that his set Saturday night will be anything less than TOTALLY MAGNANIMOUS.

Cassius – 1999 (Tim Green Remix)

This track provides all kinds of tropical get-up and shake it fun. Dig.

Designer Drugs – Riot (Mustard Pimp remix)

Consistent with the usual fire that Designer Drugs spits, kicked up with a nasty splash of sonic lighter fluid courtesy of the mighty Mustard Pimp, the unrelenting electro fire of this track burns and burns…

Skrillex – My Name is Skrillex EP

Psh. Away with those one track remix wonders! Skrillex is giving his whole damn EP away for FREE!!!!!! Scoop up the goodness before it’s too late! And donate a buck or two to the lad to show your support – Skrillex is definitely a name to keep locked on your sonic consciousness.

**
JUST ADDED TO THE LINE UP**
EXCISION vs. Don Diablo vs. Datsik – Blow the Calypso

This track still slices and dices the soundsphere upon release from its audio cages. Set it free and it’s pretty near impossible to contain all the sonic eccentricities it has going off in every which direction. Feel free to lose control.

**Don’t have your tickets yet for the shenanigans going off tomorrow night at Abstract?! Well fuck, it’s about time you get yourself all sorted out, don’t you think? Seal the deal: click here, breathe easy, and get ready for an absolute audio assault at ABSTRACT FESTIVAL.
