Our dear friend and arguably the strangest character we’ve ever been confronted by MICKEY FORD has joined up with fellow “troubled soul” Elliot Holiday and put together a massive art exhibition featuring over 70 pieces of visual stimuli and a heaping array of WTF.
Young Mickey can be described as a “gentle playboy with a colorfully deranged imagination” – and he’s a damn good at what he does. The fruits of his creative output are playfully offensive and whimsically turbulent, and necessitate a modest sense of humor or a substantial amount of crack cocaine. I don’t know Elliot Holiday personally but Mickey describes him as a “shy toddler” so guess that’s all we’ll both know until tonight.
I could pretend that I know what you should expect at this event, so I could tell you to go and stuff but I haven’t the faintest idea what kinds of twisted fantasies these guys have schemed up and brought to life. Just know that the last time I went to one of Mickey’s “shows” I ended up drunk and sprawled out on the floor of his studio wearing a mustard suit and laughing myself to tears.
However here’s Mickey’s Checklist to give you an even more vague idea of what to expect:
☑ Refreshments
☑ Air plane sounds
☑ Paintings
☑ Hairy animals
☑ Awkwardness
☑ Last quarter of the moom
☑ High Society
☑ Bubble Gum
Casual Dress ● Rain or Shine ● Peoples Choice Awards ● Gold Star
