[Beat Scene] Liquid Geometry Presents: NguzuNguzu + HM.T DM.T + Nino Seneris + More at Kava Lounge – 8/18/2011

It’s been an exciting week for Kava Lounge, and it’s about to get even crazier! If you missed last month’s Kill Quanti Invades Liquid Geometry during Comic Con or even this past Sunday’s DiscoNap Presents TAKE and Alpha Method – you’re certainly not going to want to miss this night! This month’s edition of Liquid Geometry is doing a little something different and getting a little dance dancey (while still staying true to the futuristic vibe of course)! Had enough of these exclamation points yet? I haven’t! This Thursday, August 18th – Liquid Geometry is bringing in NguzuNguzu!

The duo that is NguzuNguzu is made up of LA based producers Daniel Pineda and Asma Maroof. These two have been on the rise, having mixed M.I.A.’s Vicki Leekx mixtape last year and Asma Maroof serving as M.I.A.’s tour DJ. Even The New York Times and Pitchfork have sung their praises – and you know how people love those media brands! But enough name dropping, onto the music!

NguzuNguzu’s sound is a sexy tropical blend of R&B, hip-hop, house, Cumbia, tribal, futuristic synths and of course heavy bass. Perfect for a hot August night, you can expect to see swiveling of hips and ass shaking – dudes and girls alike! I can’t even begin to tell you how I am impressed by them! Just check out their sultry tribal remix of Ayshay’s WARN-U.

But of course what would Liquid Geometry be without their collective artists? Also taking the stage will be HM.T DM.T (Liquid Geometry), Nino Seneris (Critical Beatdown), P-Man (The P-Man Show), Mawkus (Sweet Cheeks/Jazz 88.3), and Mystery Cave (Hippo Beach). Trippy visuals will also be projected the entire night by CUTMOD.
