The masked, Italian DJ duo The Bloody Beetroots will be paying San Diego another visit this Friday night — unleashing another round of unrelenting, grinding electro-bangers that will show little remorse for souls not prepared for a head-ful of mind-numbing bass and heavily-distorted synthesized lasers wailing down on your eardrums.
If you saw Beetroots’ last show at Voyeur this past summer, with a special pop-in by Steve Aoki, then you know what you’re getting yourself into… To put it lightly: Beetroots know how instigate utter chaos on the dance floor and always find a way to throw some electro-infused curve ball into their set. Every time they land in San Diego, you know you need to bust your ass to get to their show. Their shit-show/punk rock mentality mixed with HEAVY electro beats set them apart from other spin and head bop DJs.
Because All Leather is one of the killer acts opening the show, we’re hoping All Leather’s sexy lead singer, Justin Pearson, will crash the stage with Beetroots to play their own remixed version of Warp 1.9.
All Leather are absolutely out-of-control live: Exploding with energy, periodic climbing on speakers, deep-throating microphones, and massive riffs that absolutely thrash the soundsphere — their performances are certainly memorable, to say the very, very least. I still find myself talking about their show at Secret Cedar, even months later.
San Diego’s own, Shark Attack, will also be taking the stage to prime the crowd with their LIVE electro set – which they don’t do very often… Trust me, get to House of Blues early, GO SEE THIS SET. Friday’s show will be the first LIVE show they’ve played in Downtown San Diego since last November — don’t be the bumblefuck that misses out.
Shark Attack also just released a new track, 2nd in Line at the Used Needle Exchange, that has recently gained praise on world-renowned DJ Felix Da Housecat’s, website, Boppernation.com. Check out the track, along with the killer (WARNING: Pretty Graphic) art show created by Nick Gallucci for Shark Attack’s video below:
Opening up the night will be Deth Hertz, a DJ duo who knows how to seriously kick things into gear, so get there early to catch their heavy electro set, to get yourself fully prepped for a show that will have you buzzing into the morning… Plan to lay low on Saturday.
Tickets are still available but I can absolutely guarantee this show WILL sell out, so get yours while you still can!
