Halloween Ball at The Prado: 10/31

Without fail, every year I have celebrated my Halloween night at The Prado, I have had the most amazing night.

This Halloween evening, presented by DJHere Productions, of hauntingly entrancing rhythms, salacious vibes, and body-oozing sounds will be complete with over 20 bars for easy access to tantalizing libations. During the evening there will also be an opportunity for those dressed to the spooky nines to enter into the costume contest, with a chance to win $500 for their creative and over-the-top ghoulish duds.

Nestled in the heart of beautiful Balboa Park, this Mediterranean enchantment boasts gorgeous two-story architecture and secret rooms hidden throughout the premises for the curious few who love to loom around… Off in those hidden-away escapes you’ll find a wonderful surprise: The Loggia. Overlooking the gorgeous Prado courtyard and featuring two picturesque balconies featuring stunning views, The Loggia will feature bass thumping, heart-pounding, and indie dance grooves, booming out the top notch sound system. The Loggia is the perfect getaway for those looking for absolutely filthy beats. Local deck masters Erick Diaz, Headshake, Adam Salter, The Office Twins, and more will be flooding the soundsphere with the best of the electronic world’s freshest offerings and creating a vibe you simply can’t resist getting down to.

Our homie and delightful Fresh MIX pick, Craig Smoove will be tearing up the main room dance floors along with DJs Scooter & Lavelle. If you went to Abstract Festival this year you will be able to relive warm memories and tingly moments when you look up to see the very same, massive LED light wall box structure that contained the very likes of Claude VonStroke, Excision, and Steve Duda. Yea, SHIT JUST GOT REAL. And that beautiful and majestic LED beast is going to absolutely melt your face off.

In the side room, adjacent to the main room festivities, get ready to set your sights on a tasty treat out of our bag of local sonic goodies, that is sure to satisfy all your aural fixations: BUBBLEGUM SCI FI will be taking down the decks in the ornately spooky lair of The Prado adjacent to the Main Room festivities. BGSF promises to chill our bones with big room bass, mesmerizing heart-fluttering house beats, and quite possibly, as we’ve been teasingly hinted, the exclusive first listen of the super secret SCI FI release we’ve been told BGSF is equally excited to drop on the decks as he was with their massively popular remix of Passion Pit’s The Reeling. We’re positively quivering at the very thought of what brain-tingling stash of sonic overloads Bubblegum Sci Fi is ready to unleash unto us.  A few more DJs greats will be joining Bubblegum Sci Fi in this secret-ish side room so prepare to let the sound ooze throughout your senses.
