Presenting ¡BAJATON! in the Moombahton Lounge, inside arguably one of the most prestigious venues in North America – AVALON HOLLYWOOD. On the bill for the evening are our hand-picked, featured selectas DJ SABO (Sol Selectas/LA) 2 Deep (Muevelo/LA), BabySTEPS (SD), and of course, resident BAJATONista COLOUR VISION (Bajaton/SD)

For our first event outside of SD EVER, we will be taking over the Honey Lounge (inside AVALON) and transforming it into a tropical mid tempo paradise which we will refer to henceforth as the ¡¡BAJATON MOOMBAHTON LOUNGE!!

☛ ¡¡ BAJATON !! ☚ is San Diego’s moombah-bass monthly that’s about keepin’ it tropical even after the sun goes down. Frosty hand-crafted cocktails, spicy beats, and a vacation-state of mind that keeps the vibe cool while letting ya unleash yo inner bad gal side, at our very favorite hipsta haunt, El Dorado Cocktail Lounge!

We are delighted and honored to be showcasing some of our favorite producers on the SoCal West Coast inside the ¡BAJATON! LOUNGE!!!

DJ SABO, founder of one of the most renowned underground dance labels, SOL SELECTAS, is without a doubt, one of my very favorite artists to see live (inside AND outside the Moombah realm)!! His endless arsenal of surprising reflips and groove-worthy originals never cease to lead me straight to the dancefloor and his energy-laden happy-go-lucky stage presence is bar none one of the most fun and most engaging to witness first hand! He’s been featured countless times on MAD DECENT, on MixMag, and recently on Sinden‘s Radio show for KissFM.

COLOUR VISION is an emblem of San Diego’s nightlife scene – still reigning as the local king of Disco House, COLOUR VISION decided to explore a new sonic frontier, and partnered with TheMixster.com to put together a Moombahton/Tropical Bass-centric party called BAJATON. And less than 4 parties/months & almost a dozen top-tier globally-renowned moombah acts later, COLOUR VISION’s new role in the local EDM scene has deemed him San Diego’s next pioneer in Moombahton production. And given the rampant activity on his Soundcloud over the last 2 months, it’s clear he has taken his new role VERY seriously. COLOUR VISION’s approach to Moombahton is a unique blend of shimmery 108 tempos, glistening synths, and cool-minded percussion: taking beloved indie dance gems and reflipping them with an effervescent groovy twist. His swoonworthy tracks present a reminiscence of his true love for disco and are less influenced by the harsher Dutch House stabs, typical to the genre.

COLOUR VISION’s reflip of Neon Indian’s “Polish Girl” is personally one of my very favorite tracks of 2011. ♥
