Summer is finally winding down to a close, the books are being re-opened for a new school year, and the nights are starting earlier and earlier (can’t complain, more time to party!). But with winter looming foggily in our future, we must find ways to stay upbeat and fight the gloom. Luckily there’s a light up ahead! IDENTITY FESTIVAL is almost upon us! An end of the summer party of massive proportion, the roving festival takes its spot in sunny San Diego on September 2nd. While it’s the 16th stop on the tour, don’t frown! The DJs have just been warming up especially for us :) And with three stages to be set-up at the Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre hosting genres spanning everything from progressive house, hard hitting dubstep, pulsating drum ‘n’ bass, and even minimal beat techno, you won’t want to be stuck outside the fence for this one. Now some of you were able to snag the limited amount of $20 tickets last month, but for the rest, you can still buy tickets here.

Pretty Lights name is derived from a Pink Floyd poster that read, “Come and watch the pretty lights!”, and the influence definitely shows through his somewhat minimal beats that bring out the delicacy in electronic dance music.
