I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but Pop music (and we mean real Pop; not this Ke$ha bull shit), is back with a vengeance and here to stay. The last time Pop had this kind of pull on the music industry was, dare we say it, the Disco Age!?!

At the forefront of this sequin-laced musical re-emergence are talents like Lady GaGa, La Roux, and Little Boots. The latter is our current sparkly obsession- who also happens to be conveniently playing the Casbah Saturday night!

Little Boots, fronted by Brit hottie Victoria Christina Hesketh, is relatively new on the scene, but has taken the electro-pop and dance arena by storm. Want a quick rundown of their sound?; think Goldfrapp meets Kylie Minogue. You can hear Hesketh channel Minogue most on Track 15; “Hearts Collide.”

Mix Tip: Check out “Ghost.” It’s my personal fave, so you’ll dig it, too.

All you nouveau Pop-lovers are in luck because Little Boots will be performing at the Casbah, where its great layout and sound allows for an extremely intimate show. Little Boots will be headlining the show with Dragonette and Fan Death (two other female-driven, Pop mavens) on Saturday, March 13th @ 8:30 pm for only $15. Don’t forget your IDs, this show is 21+.
