The floor went absolutely NUTS when one of the surprise special guests dropped this track at SMOG x Noah D’s album release party this past Sunday night at Dim Mak Studios. Almost shockingly this Juke meets crack on a stick tune wasn’t sliced and diced by The [Motherfuckin'] Gaslamp Killer. GLK probably wishes he had this tune, it’s definitely something that sounds catchy and quacky enough to be his arsenal. As a matter fact, SMOG’s other secret guest that evening, EshOne, rinsed today’s track on spotlight, created by his co-conspirator/ ELK BEATS label mate and San Diego-based producer, Misk.
Misk’s latest, “The Club Song” is a 140 BPM juke/footwork club killa; its choppy vocal bits are tied together with heavy 808 kicks & “bi-sexual bitches.” It’s really fucking weird. Yet the crowd just absolutely lost their shit the very moment this track was dropped. I witnessed it firsthand. There’s no doubt Misk has tapped into something sonically, that’s really very interesting here… I can only hope he continues to produce more strange tunes in a similar shifty yet still danceable direction.
The 2 track release containing Misk‘s “The Club Song,” also includes EshOne‘s heavy sub-bass hitter “Theme Pouch;“which sounds like someone driving fast while chewing on shrooms wrapped in tin foil. (You’ll probably have to take a heartburn pill after hearing it.)
The release is available for purchase on their digitally-based imprint, ELK BEATS. For only $2 you get your choice of either MP3 or WAV format. BUY IT HERE.
