I knew I had seen AND had heard of Van Toth somewhere before, but it wasn’t until my fellow Prog. House EDM fiend Dan brought him specifically to my attention. He confronted me, claiming he’d found the new Wolfgang: and that this prodigy, was a mere 20 years of age.
Nonetheless, such a bold claim necessitates investigation. After several listens and two pairs of ear buds later, I have readily concluded: Van Toth is NOT Wolfgang. He’s in fact an entirely new species of EDM. And his sound equates to nothing less than a volcano on the very brink of catastrophic devastation across the aural soundsphere, and sheer relentless ecstacy in clubs around the world. We’re so fuct.
I remembered when I was first confronted by Van Toth: If you had been as excited as I was that SD-based producer Anthony Ross had been featured on Tiesto’s Club Life 188, you too tuned-in to listen to the entirety of Tiesto’s podcast; in which case you also, crossed aural paths with Van Toth’s mental synth puncher “That One“. It was then that you realized that you, too, had just witnessed something truly tremendous.
Van Toth – That One supported by Tiesto on Club Life 188! by Toth
Van Toth‘s unique brand of bass-wrenching electro house, with moments of tech house undertones, also seems to integrate bit of rhythmic influence likely inherited from his Miami roots. (Most notably the case on Van Toth EP) Think Wolfgang Gartner-Mad Decent lovechild: It’s a beautiful thing you can’t help but fall in love with at first listen — and it’s more than capable of dance floor havoc across the globe. Toth’s first release on Vinyl Pusher (Australia) Trumpeta EP dropped in early 2010, and was subsequently followed by many more. Toth than began releasing tracks with Sneakerz Muzik (Amsterdam), a sub label of Spinnin’ Records, which thus commenced his ascension to global recognition. Being backed by none others than Afrojack and Laidback Luke, Van Toth’s massive tracks have appeared on a multiple of Tiesto’s Club Life podcasts, and recently Van Toth’s People Boots was supported by the almighty Wolfgang Gartner himself on his Essential Mix.
Van Toth – Electric Pickle (Played by Tiesto Club Life #187) by Toth ******************
Van Toth bestowed yet another amazing track onto us just yesterday “Just You” that absolutely requires your full and undivided attention. The lullaby-esque synth line in the beginning quite cute. Killer tech house.

I don’t even want to get into Toth side-project with partner JJWLS – Grnd Thft Audio. Otherwise I think my head will fucking explode. But they’re totally worth checking out too. We will get back to them later.
