Alright. We were beyond amp’d to introduce VAN TOTH to you guys about a month ago. And now, I’m just downright delighted to announce VAN TOTH has been officially added to the RADIUS line-up(!!!!!): San Diego’s premiere electronic music festival, brought to you by the same pioneers and masterminds behind both Reset and Abstract Festivals last year!!!
Well, as we gear up for RADIUS, which is going down March 4th & 5th at the Aerospace Museum in lovely Balboa Park, San Diego, we also have to get ourselves mentally prepared for the eminent aural assault… Thus we are in desperate need of some ripe sonic juiciness to wet our appetites and sort ourselves out… RIGHT. NOW.
Well one of the fourteen massive acts on the RADIUS line-up, Van Toth, has delivered, and goodness gracious me, has he delivered in a BIG way: serving us with big ol’ thick slices of cranking electro-house and massive big room reverberations that will send your gears into fucking overdrive and your bodies straight into a tizzy on the dance floor.
This track is scary addictive – the already heavy electro banger Tomorrow by Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike featuring Dada Life vs. the catchy vocals of Jonathan Mendelsohn in Laidback Luke‘s track Time Bomb have been fused together with Van Toth’s sonic fire. I’m NOT usually a fan of “mash-ups” however this one is just totally explosive – it has been detonated to the point of no chance of return to the originals. With Toth’s unabashed taste for unrelenting heavy bass drones and dynamic synth punches -it’s a rave’n'roll baby!
Another worthy remix reworked by Van Toth’s own filthy fingers builds with lose-yourself inclines and maxes with dark and bassy results. This track is salacious tech house with an added jolt of something special to keep your wavering body in motion into the wee hours of the morning….
Bonus!!!!!: JWLS, the other half of Van Toth‘s side project, ‘BIG THINGS’, has also gifted us a few new drops as well – featuring his own hand-selected gems that brightly demonstrate his brand of highly diggable, Miami swing MOOMBAHTON style…
¡Ay Carumba! This is MOOMBAHTON with a serious Cumbia kick!!! Break a sweat and get those hips in ass swinging shape mis amigos!
A JWLS original that features some pretty saucy bongo percussion towards the tail end of the track.
Ying Yang Twins – Wait “The Whisper Song” (JWLS DTF REMIX)
I’ve always had a special place in my heart for ‘The Whisper Song’... And I am super muy amp’d on JWLS’ own hyper-synthy MOOMBAHTON infused reflip – breathing new life into one delightfully inappropriate and thoughtfully misogynistic tune for the fam to enjoy and for one very hanky-panky-friendly dance floor.
SAN DIEGO!!!!! Get pumped for VAN TOTH’s SD DEBUT!!!!!!!!
