[San Diego MIX PICK] Saturday, December 17th, 2011: SD UNION – CREWS FOR A CAUSE

Personally speaking, I’ve been really looking forward to this one. The fine gents at Technical Support TV, behind SD UNION, SD DnB’s biggest monthly event, in association with Eric Yo! Presents have asked us at TheMixster.com, along with fellow bass-centric crews Organized Grime and DEEP, to participate in their annual charity food drive/ local Bass music collective celebration! Nothing like a little holiday reveling with our SD bass fam, mint sound, and gratuitous amounts of ice cold & bottled up boozy cheer, all under the same roof – and all for a good cause to boot!

Kicking off the party will be Technical Support TV‘s DJ HEVROCK throwing down a thoughtfully crunked-out collection of emerging hip-hop drops and rare old skool gems. After that will be Bassbinge Ent‘s SWAN DIVE who will be bringing shifty drummed tracks and grimy dub textures sure to leave the dance floor in a riotous upheaval.

Organized Grime‘s Tryxx in cahoots with Oozi MC will be following suit with a thoroughly sinister selection of Dnb, and leading off the top for the evening will be SD’s own very emblem of the DnB scene & DEEP‘s Delano for a final aural assault of the evening.

The night will be hosted and revelously MC’d by SD’s renowned DnB speakerheads MCs Ridda & Subliminal.

Now I know these boys don’t usually let just ANYONE walk into THEIR HOUSE and play a MOOMBAHTON SET.
Therefore, I’m both delighted and honored that my OG bass compadres have ever-so-kindly asked us to bring in one of our very favorite selectas within the realm!! And I could think of no better person than SEAN FIZZ to bring not only both energetic bass-laden tropical heat and masterful mixing skills, but to represent our local moombah cult as a whole. SEAN FIZZ is a two-time ¡BAJATON! veteran whose impeccable track selection – featuring searing hot moombahcore floor-fillers and saucy aaaas tropical bootybass bangers – have never failed to absolutely incite reckless havoc from wall-to-wall. His set starts at 9:30pm-ish so come early and rage til late.
