If San Diego knows how to do one thing right, it’s how to go ALL FUCKING OUT on three-day holiday weekends. And this Labor Day weekend will be no different.

With profuse opportunities to booze it up, come home with awkward sun burns and get all out weird, it can be a bit daunting sorting through all the Facebook event muck to find the true rage-worthy getaways. We’ve taken on the task of sorting through the riff raff and we’ve curated our perfect guide of all the top-notch happenings going on all around our sunny county. By the beach, in the city, indoors, outdoors, cheese and no cheese we’ve locked down the best ragers around town, all in this easy to access when you’re buzzed party guide.

If you’re yearning for a night of unbelievably summery sounds, perfect for shakin your hips and sippin crafty cocktails to, then a set by San Fran’s rising star disco imprint Viceroy at El Dorado Cocktail Lounge is not to be missed.

Joining Viceroy on the decks at PHYS ED – El D’s monthly electro.DISCO.boogaloo party – will be SD’s own French Kiss Collective & Blancnoire who have sparkling disco balls for eyes and boast only the sexiest sunshine grooves.

RIVA STARR + TJR at Voyeur
Riva Starr - world renowned modern house/tech house producer and founder of UK-based label SNATCH RECORDS (past releases include Thomas Schumacher, Prince Club, Cajmere, and countless more) – will be returning to his SD home at Voyeur Nightclub on Thursday September 1st. Following his full LP release, “If Life Gives you Lemons, Make Lemonade” Riva Starr’s self-defined “mezcla” style of integrating eclectic and worldly sounds received massive nods of approval from Claude VonStroke and Jesse Rose. And as such his penchant for lemons and all corresponding metaphors, swiftly became infamous.

When life gives you lemons, add champagne showers, 700 of your best friends, an opening set by Voy favorite TJR and get ready for an incredible night of mezcla house ahead.

The world’s first ever traveling electronic dance music festival, Identity Festival, will be making its highly anticipated stop at SD’s own Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre on Friday September 2nd. World class acts such as Kaskade, Steve Aoki, The Disco Biscuits, Pretty Lights, Afrojack, and many more will be playing a special one night only show on 3 separate stages of high-impact sound.

Leading Moombahnista and former Turntable Lab DJ SABO out of NYC will be stopping in at U31 on Saturday September 3rd, torching the place up with scorching tropical beats and simmering mid tempo drops. With features in Nylon, Rolling Stone, MixMag, and Spin, SABO has been gaining international attention over the last 11 years and his latest brainchild in collaboration with moombahton creator Dave Nada, Moombahton Massive, has been gaining significant speed in cities and nods from top-tier DJs all across the country.

This parking lot party and Keep A Breast Fundraiser will feature 13 live acts such as the Soft Pack, The Nervous Wreckords, The Howls, The Creepy Creeps as well as feature a second stage for DJs such as Adam Salter, Bubblegum Sci Fi, Corey Biggs, Saul Q and more!
Rounding-out this hipster block party and end of summer celebration will be foodie-worthy offerings from neighborhood favs Quality Social, Pokez Vegetarian Mexican Eatery, and Mission Brewery.
