With a tag-line like “built for the neighbors, by the neighbors you already have an idea of The Corner’s schtick. After all, it’s housed in the former Carnation Milk factory building… You can’t get any more wholesome than that. WAIT. AND they have board games… Now, you can turn your favorite childhood games (like Connect Four and Apples to Apples) into drinking games. Stay away from the Jenga if you’re having a night on the whiskey. Your parents would be so proud.

Enough about board games. What The Corner is really famous for are their top notch burgers: The ‘burgs are served medium; which, unlike most places, is completely safe to do HERE because The Corner’s beef is raised naturally and humanely, fed strictly veggies, and has no antibiotics or hormones. You could even make carpaccio out of this stuff without thinking twice — if you’ve ever felt compelled to do so.

Because we are all about things that are muy espicy we totally dig the JalapeƱo Burger: Layered with hand-pickled jalapeƱos and serrano peppers, spicy jack cheese, and chipotle aioli this fiery beast is NOT for a meek Melvin.

The Hippie Burger is a totally satisfying meal for those looking to dodge the beef bullet, or for those who just want to try something healthfully new – topped with caramelized onions, sauteed mushrooms, avocado, and a little cheese. Order a side of the Wasabi Aioli for a little extra kick!

If you’re looking for something vegetarian and artery clogging, get down on their Fried Pickles: Dill pickles coated in a thick and fluffy corn dog-esque batter. They’re apparently a “Southern Classic” however we think that’s just euphemism for an extremely dangerous, yet oddly delectable, dietary choice.

The Corner’s classic starter however has to be their Tater Tots – house seasoned and old-fashioned for the little kid cafeteria nostalgia in you.

Our favorite thing about his place?…The Bloody Mary Bar. Enjoy your own spicy, vodka-laden creation over brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:30 am- 1:00 pm
