TheMixster.com, on the behalf of TheMusicNinja.com, will be venturing out this Labor Day Weekend, to the world unknown to this SoCal native: New York City.
The adventure will be as equally exciting and terrifying as I will be navigating the twists and turns of one of the world’s biggest metropolitan cities, for the first time in over a decade — all in the name of one thing, and one thing only: Electronic Dance Music, baby.
Electric Zoo Festival may be young in its years, but after its inaugural year in 2009, where it saw over 26,000 attendees pass through the gates, it has already established itself as New York’s premier electronic music festival. Bringing together an incredible line-up of top names in electronic music, with New York’s renowned abundance for fine culinary cuisine and the area’s most renowned artists in an interactive art showcase, Electric Zoo’s eclectic experience offers attendees a unique event, unlike any other.

As said, the line-up at Electric Zoo Festival, is simply, AHHHHMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aside from the super headliners and legendary electronic music masterminds, Armin van Buuren and the Chemical Brothers, there is a MASSIVE line-up that will causing chaos in the crowds of four respective stages all day long.
In order to keep attendees organized, fully engaged, and up-to-date on the daily madness going down throughout the festival, the promoters have set up this kind of ingenious system: A unique, interactive event calendar and mobile application called SCHED. Similar to that fantastic Coachella app we all had, this dandy little app lets festival goers view set times and organize their schedule by allowing them to “check-off” sets they would like to attend. Yet SCHED goes a WHOLE step further, by offering attendees an opportunity to read artist information, check out real-time artist news feeds, leave comments on artist’s pages, as well as view the most popular sets, invite friends to join and gain musical recommendations based on similar sonic interests! Ultra Records will also be announcing Ultra Records artist signing appearances at the festival’s merchandise tent on SCHED as well.
Pretttyyyyy pretttyyyyy pretttttayyyyy cool if you ask me! If my AT&T service decides to not be a feisty little bitch, I’ll actually be able to take advantage of this nifty little app — keeping my fingers crossed!
THE FESTIVAL: Day One & Day Two — *The Guide*

Here are my top picks and where they will be dropping dirty electro, tropical tech, happy house, disco, dub step, and everything else in between!
Note: I would not advise this identical schedule to ANYONE — I am overly ambitious and a little on the wacky side so this is only a suggestion merely to the truly strange characters out there…

And because The Music Ninja and I have had the opportunity to interview SO many amazing DJs leading up to this magnificent weekend of electro goodness, here’s a good idea of those artists that we KNOW have something special brewing for this momentous gathering!
And also be sure to click on their names to gain our insight and check out the killer interviews we had with each and every one of the following electronic music masterminds!
Wolfgang Gartner
RUSKO
The Glitch Mob
Chuckie
Bassnectar
Also at the festival itself, we have the opportunity to interview the following list of some of my personal favorite EDM producers of ALL TIME!!!
Laidback Luke
Claude VonStroke
Boys Noize
Dirty South
As per usual with my typical Mixster ways and my electronic ninja-like disposition, I’m sure I will be sneaking around and weaseling a few words out of a few other huge contenders in the electronic music world as well… Stay Tuned!
Adding an artistic element to the experience, reflecting the crafty, creativity that is the culturally-forward —- of NYC, Electric Zoo has rounded up a handful of some of the local area’s most renowned artists, to bring together a series of individual aesthetic elements to the overall event. To name a few notable undertakings, electro-kinetic artist, Jason Krugman will be implementing a large scale interactive art installation, while several others will be utilizing Sunday School Buses as their canvas to showcase their diverse styles, as their homage to Sunday School…
And of course, it wouldn’t be fair to claim Electric Zoo Festival as New York’s Premier electronic music festival, if the event itself didn’t somehow pay homage to New York’s highly-regarded world-renowned gourmet offerings in the city itself! To your epicurean delight, Electric Zoo festival has invited vendors from a select few of NYC’s favorite eateries along with a few special mobile food trucks as well, that will provide a unique selection of 20+ delectable and international, locally produced, vegan and organic choices, sure to satisfy even the most discerning palates of attendees.

My partner and i have to declare, while searching through loads of websites every week, your style of one’s weblog is distinguishable (for all you correct motives). Unless you mind myself wondering, exactly what is the identify of the design as well as can it be a tailor made affair? It’s a lot better than your styles I take advantage of for a lot of involving my personal sites ;:)

Thats some good fundamentals there, already knew some of that, but you can always learn . I doubt a “kid” could put together such information as dolphin278 suggested. Maybe he’s just attempting to be “controversial? lol
