Obviously, with a name like”LA Riots” you should automatically assume these DJs throw down a considerably harder sound in the realm of electronic music: With crunching basslines, extreme catchy hooks, with dirty mixes will guaranteed to make you move. Personally, I think LA Riots can remix any song and make it sound hard. Get to Voyeur tonight to celebrate the last weekend of July; MAYBE if we rock out too much, the hidden sun will come out so we can have a real summer. A reverse rain dance starting at 9:00 p.m. is definitely in order.
Friend of the MIX, Adam Salter, otherwise known under the guise behind the decks as The Analog Show, will be opening up with Menio Brown tonight.
LA Riots, the duo consisting of Daniel LeDisko and Jon Pegnato, are both native to underground electronic music scene: Bringing with them a bit of tech-house and, unapologetically, a heap of drum n’ bass. Their name comes from the infamous riots that broke out in 1992 in Downtown LA. With indie beats, electro-infused remixes of pop and rock; they tinker with just about every genre of music: With their experiments resulting in their own heavy, bass-laden, and twisted drops.

We all love the song, Crimewave by the Crystal Castles.
But the LA Riots‘ take on it? Prepare yourselves for their own electronic crimewave.

Their remix of “Switchblade” is of my personal favorites by LA Riots. Great song to blare in the car with the windows down. No?
Hearts Revolution- Switchblade remixed by LA Riots.
LA Riot’s remix of Wet Paint’s track “Speaker Freakers” basically compounds the original with a melody of various electronic percussion crescendos, speeding up into a club-tastic phenomenon. Futuristic sounds seem to be the push for this remix.

Check out LA Riots’ New Spring Mix 2010! A collaboration of muy caliente, funky Spanish salsa, with LA Riots’ token electronic, indie beats; Guaranteed to get you in the mood to do a little tango. Love it.
