Of the many relevant DJ/Producers in the Nu-Disco world, few have the consistency in their work, or a catalog as impressive as Ashley Jones, better known as… Treasure Fingers. Boasting over a decade of production and performance experience from various projects including the beloved D N B group, EVOL INTENT, Jones has emerged from Atlanta, Georgia, a city best known for its crunk anthems, waffle houses and Cadillacs, and has become a leading innovator within the Electronic dance world. After the huge success of his most recent release “What Am I Suppose To Do“, and his infectious remix of Tensnake‘s critically acclaimed “ Coma Cat“ the world has had their full attention on this icon, and the “ LIFT ME EP” has finally dropped on the US market.
Tensnake – “Coma Cat (Treasure Fingers Remix)”
Lift Me, the highly anticipated single has been floating around the blogosphere in clip form from a Treasure Fingers set rip for a few months now. Puzzling bloggers are raising questions as to whether this was a lost single that never made release, or something completely new. Either way, Lift Me has created an enormous buzz with its future retro styling, and spacey disco house ambiance. With added vocals from Haley, Jones took his vocal chopping skills to a new level, and an array of twisted synth lines and modulated leads has created an addicting dance floor killer that literally “Lifts” the mood and energy of the club to pure bliss, before gently bringing them back with a classic house vibe. A gentle mix of old and new school production with dance-floor tact makes the single a definitive Treasure Fingers production, and both compliments his entire existing catalog, while taking a step in a new and exciting direction that will inspire an entire generation of EDM enthusiasts.

Treasure Fingers – “Lift Me (Original Mix)”
“It’s Love” is a little more of a straightforward house masterpiece that rides another chimpmunked Haley vocal sample throughout the track and slowly builds and slows with expert precision. This is type of dance anthem that comes along only once in a blue moon, and could easily be one of my favorite Treasure Fingers releases to date. As simple as it is, the production genius of Jones truly stands out with every crisp hi hat lick and every bouncing piano stab that lends itself to the overall mystique of the finished product, and its seductive groove.

Treasure Fingers is continually changing the game and contributing his own unique take on what is current versus what deserves to be — and luckily for us, he’ll be back on December 9th to LIFT Voyeur to its nu-disco peak. Don’t miss out!
